All of a sudden my purchased TV programs are not showing up and I get a message stating, ' you have not purchased any TV shows.' Any suggestions?

Having the same issue, only way I can play is to play from laptop with home sharing.

There appears to be a temporary issue with the iTunes store, there are a number of reports of this coming in. I have the same issue on my Apple TV's, iOS devices and on iTunes on my computer, it appears to affect all content from the store (music, TV shows, movies, apps and books) in all locations.
It's my first time on here, so how do we get someone to fix it?
I'm sure they are already working on it.
I have been able to play TV shows via the cloud still. If you just search for the show that you have aleady bought you can play it from there. Hope that helps for now.
Hope they get it fixed soon.
Add one more to the list. It may sound strange, but this is a case where I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering this.
I hope Apple fixes this one quickly.
If you just go to Search and look for the show you want to watch. You can play episodes straight from there once you find them.
Try checking again, this problem now seems to have been fixed for myself and others.

The same is happening for me suddenly today. I have a recent show that appears, but anything purchased earlier than that is not appearing. This is only happening to TV shows, all music, books, etc show up in itunes, it is only purchased tv shows that do not appear. Please help! This seems to have happened after a recent iphone upgrade to the ios went awry and I had to do a full install, suddenly now I cant get my tv shows, connected?
I have a purchased movie on my PC, and it shows up as "Purchased", but I don't see it on Apple TV. Other purchased movies do show up on Apple TV.
Anyone know why?

Not all studios agreed to allow movies in the cloud for redownload so not all appear - check with iTunes support.
If you downloaded the movie to iTunes (wise so you can keep a copy in case it gets yanked from the store and not available in the cloud anymore) you can play using Computers icon on AppleTV to select your iTunes library on the network - computer and iTunes must be running.
