What does a phone and an arrow pointing away from it mean?

Your Screen orientation is locked.

Double tap your home button to reveal the bottom "running apps section"

slide your finger from left to right to reveal controls. on the left side you will see that lock button. tap it so it has an arrow going in a circle. this will unlock screen orientation

Please explain.

Do you know what a lock and a circular arrow sorunding it means? It showed up on my screen a few days ago on the top right side.

That icon means you have call forwarding setup on your phone.

To disable this go to Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding > turn it to Off.

You mean this:

Means that call forwarding is on: Settings>Phone>Call Forwarding>On/Off.

It's the Portrait Orientation Lock. Double tap the home button, swipe left-to-right, far left is the orientation lock...tap on/off.
