When depositing checks, with Firefox JAVA may work once or twice then browser freezes....with Safari, Safari freezes as soon as JAVA starts to start.
I keep deleting files in JAVA preferences .... that may (sometimes) cure problem for 1or2 checks ...this is with Firefox
can't even find what version JAVA is installed
I can find no updates or info for 10.5
MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
You can open Java Preferences (in Utilities), General tab, and it will show the version on the checkbox lines.
Or in terminal:
java -version
Is there a crash log you could post? What about any messages in the console log?
Just uploaded and installed JAVA 5...Safari allowed me to deposit one check and when I went to deposit another Safari crashed and I had to force quit. I restart and try to depoit ... Safari crashes withou being able to deposit even 1 check. I go to Preferences>Network and delete files and then restart...trie deposit sequence and it crashes again
Firefox allows one or two deposits and then freezes...
in preferences it has 4 checked boxes

Does seem to be a bit much.
Try enabling only one at a time and repeat the web site test for each.
Maybe someone with Leopard will see this and can confirm what they have. I use Snow Leopard.
