iTunes Match error 4001

i know theres a lot of discussions about this and topics, but i am from canada and i have a desktop. Ive tried everything from re-making my playlist to deauthorize my account to even completing reinstalling itunes. I have even tried selecting each individual song and clicking "Add to iCloud" and nothing seems to be working. Apple's Tech support have no idea and i want this to work any advise or other ways of attempting to get my music on icloud for my apple tv?

This service has started to look exactly like MobileMe when it was launched. If Steve Jobs was still here, I'll bet he would have gathered the while iTunes Match team and fired them !!

Seems like the things may be going down hill for Apple in terms of quality.

Tim Cook should stop doing philanthropy work and straighten up his teams .....

The service still doesn't work for me .... I went to Apple store and they asked me to raise a ticket online !!

I don't think server power is the issue here considering how many more services Apple is running on iCloud. It's more about the system which is faulty.

Bottom line, if it doesn't work I'll ask Apple to change the end date of my membership, since getting a refund would be kind of impossible (although I'm going to read through the fine print now).

Fine print:

----------

"The subscription is non-refundable (except as required by applicable law)..."

"iTunes Match is provided on an “AS IS” basis and may contain errors or inaccuracies that could cause failures, corruption or loss of data and/or information, including music, playlist, and play history, from your computer or device and from peripherals (including, without limitation, servers and other computers) connected thereto. You should back up all data and information on your computer or device and any peripherals prior to using iTunes Match. You expressly acknowledge and agree that all use of iTunes Match is at your sole risk. To the extent permitted by law, Apple shall have no liability with respect to your use of iTunes Match, including the inability to access matched or uploaded content."

I guess these discussion threads will multiply without any solution whatsoever.....

However the applicable law is that goods that are sold must be fit for purpose. IF it doesn't work and you have exhausted the help process and you can demonstrate it is not down to your error then Apple are liable under the Trades Description Act (if you are in England).

The second quote is for liability, i.e. adverse consequences arising from being unable to access the service. In other words, what can Apple be blamed for if you cannot access the service. Not the same as selling a faulty product which is arguable what is happening with all these 4001 errors.

Time to traduce Apple in the twittersphere?
