Q: Ok so how do I get back all the cds I added to itunes? I have them in my ipod, if i sync they will all be lost...

I added a lot of cds and now they are gone from itunes. How do I get them back?

iPod nano (5th generation), Windows XP

    Are they still on your computer but not in iTunes - if they are then you should be able to add them back via File > Add To Library. Otherwise, if you don't have a backup of your content then you will need to find a third-party program that can copy them back from the iPod and onto your computer.

    All my music files are on an external harddrive in my drawer. If my mac, iTunes, iphone or ipods crash or any error causes the loss of my music, I just plug in the external hardrive and reload all my music.
