Q: I tunes was unable to load data class information from sync services. Reconnect or try again later.

When I connect my I Pod to sync, the screen freezes on the computer. After 5 minutes or so I get the error message

i tunes was unable to load data class information from sync service. Please reconnect or try again later.

any ideas
