I have logitech speakers set up with my MacPro, and there is a steady stream of static noise coming from the computer. It's not the speaks because I have tested them with another device. It's definitely coming from my desktop. The strange thing is that if I restart my machine it goes away for a bit. But it starts back up as I open programs, browse the web, etc.
Any ideas?

Sounds like possibly a Ground loop in something attached to the Mac, what all devices are connected, especially USB & Firewire?
Here is a list of what I have connected to my computer.
• USB cable for my iPhone in the front
• 2 Cinema Screens
• PowerLine adapter connected via ethernet
I just unplugged the powerline adapter and realzied that is what is causing the interference.

I have a similar problem with my Macbook speakers but i have nothing attached to my computer. It first turned occured when I turned on a movie. Now static randomly kicks on. If I restart it goes away.....for a while.
These are AC powered speakers though, right?
These are the integrated speakers that are part of my MacBook. I'm still under warranty so I'll probably swing by a Store to have them look at it. My first Mac.....loving it and learning it come hand in hand....
