A good move would be to let your iPhone run out of battery then recharge it (this is called a run-down). If this doesn't work, try restarting it.

If none of these work, let me know and I'll show you how to downgrade the software if it really is the 'softwares' problem or not. I hope this works swang1975!!

Same here, has worked fine until upgrade to 6.0.2 - why do apple release updates which are not thouroughly tested to ensure that the issues are left for the customer to highlight! iMac & Macbook Air all connect with no problem.

Will only connect if I stand next to the router.. but fall's out if phone goes onto standby or you move away from the router.. (iPhone 5 on 02)

My son has an iPhone 5 bought on the same day, same network and indicating that the same update is installed & his works fine, total madness. (only difference is my phone has tethering didplayed in the settings menu whereas my son's does not?)

Come on Apple things are starting to slip, please get a grip with this issue before you do long term damage to your reputation.

Apple store confirmed to me today that it's a hardware issue.  Given a replacement with no questions.  Don't be browbeaten into thinking anything else, like a handset case or, especially, router configuaration.  We pay more than enough for this stuff.

Apple store today confirmed this is  case of 'wifi card defect' and I was immediately offered a replacement, which works perfectly.  Repeat = not a sofware issue of any kind, nor a case for router configuration.  Go get your rights!

I have two iPhone 4S'. I update one to 6.0.1 and it did not connect to our home wifi anymore (I did in the past, and the other Phone still on 5.0.1 has no issues at all, so I am suspecting the update to be the culprit)

Long story short, after several attempts (forgetting network, cycling airplane mode, restarting, renewing lease, etc.), what did the trick for us was to give the connecting a manual IP instead of using DHCP. Voila.

Not optimal, but how cares, online again

I have a similar, but not indentical problem. My Wife's iPhone 5 won't connect to the home wifi, although it used to. It will connect to other wifi areas. Everything else at home, my iPhone 4s, MacBook Pro, iPad & Windows laptop etc; all connect fine.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

WIFI greyed out Apple store can't fix says it is the phone.  I know that from reading hundreds of other posts with the same problem.  Apple refuses to fix and will only sell me another phone.  I am dumping my Apple stock before it is too late.  The apple is rotten.

My wife's phone 1 year and 1 week old.  Apple will do NOTHING except sell her a new phone.
