Nothing about that makes any sense.
Playlists that display in iTunes are saved in the iTunesLibrary.itl file in the iTunes folder. You will never see a playlist file in that folder unless it is created by another media management application.
Why would the iPod be wiped clean? Has it been synced with another computer/library?

I've managed to upload CDs and create a play list, export the play lists to my pc but when I c
