Q: Cannot save library

Whilst I can save playlists to my windows music folder, they do not save on iTunes. There is nothing in my music folder when I log in again. This means that I can't sync my iPod or it will be wiped clean.  Please help!

iPod 5th Generation (Late 2006), Windows Vista, Also have an iPod with downlohaven.

    I'm sorry... what???

Nothing about that makes any sense.

Playlists that display in iTunes are saved in the iTunesLibrary.itl file in the iTunes folder.  You will never see a playlist file in that folder unless it is created by another media management application.

Why would the iPod be wiped clean?  Has it been synced with another computer/library?

    That still makes no sense.
