You have several options for this. Your personal music collection is only supported on the Apple TV (2nd gen) through iTunes Match or through Airplay from iTunes or your iDevice.

You can set your screensaver photos to use photos from Photo Steam or select a computer running iPhoto & iTunes on the same network. To select the photos, go to Settings > Screen Saver. Here, make sure that "Show During Music" says Yes. Then select "Photos." Here, you can select the source for the photos. If there is a computer on the same network running iTunes then there will be a "Computers" section at the bottom. Within iTunes, click on the "Advanced" drop down menu and click on "Choose Photos to Share." This will bring up a box that allows you to share photos from iPhoto. Another tip is to change the screen saver setting to 2minutes so that you don't have to wait long for the photos to come up.

Alternatively, if the photos you want are in photostream, you can go down to the photostream app in the Apple Tv and select Slideshow. If you want music to play during the Slideshow, you can select Settings within the app. Here, if you scroll to the top there will be options to select which music you want to play (including music from a shared iTunes library) during the slideshow.
