Question

mpeg4 edit

I am trying to figure out how to edit some mpeg4 audio files. I downloaded a couple of programs, and they edit mp3 files, but I don't know how to edit mpeg 4 files. does anyone know what I should do?

If you mean editing with an audio editor, not all editors support AAC.
The ones I know that do support them are Sound Studio and Amadeus II. There might be more programs that support them.
You can't edit protected AAC (purchased at the Music Store)

Would you kindly indicate what applications you have downloaded to edit MP3 files like you mentioned?? Thanks!!

To edit MP4 protected files, first burn it to CD. You can then rip the CD in as a Wav or AIFF file and edit away. But remember if you convert the resultant file to either MP4 or MP3 there will be a quality loss as you will be applying 'data compression' again.
