ipad photos dont have delete icon - ios 5.1.1

This is an ipad2, just updated it yesterday to 5.1.1.

There are photos that ended up in the photos page that no longer have a delete icon associated with them. These photos came from photo stream, and were taken with an iphone. The photos were deleted from the iphone, but the photos did not get removed from the ipad photos (they are not in the ipad photo stream album).

So how do i get rid of photos on the photo's page, that dont have a delete icon and are no longer in photostream (anywhere)?

If they're in your camera roll without a trash can icon, they were synced to your iPad via computer and can only be removed by unsyncing via your computer.
