Jan 29, 2013 3:39 PM in response to GRam1sby OGELTHORPE,GRam 1s, greetings: I assume that you have a disk in your Optical Drive. Look at the first response from Kappy. If you have exhausted those methods, then you will have to open the MBP and the Optical Drive and extract the disk. If that is not to your liking, then the Apple store genius bar should be your next destination.
Ciao.

Feb 11, 2013 11:47 PM in response to jacksonbrookssharpeby brandifrompalmetto,Wow your advice really worked. I was in the process of converting 4 videos which take a while. So I did not want to restart and all that. I would have to start all over again. Thanks!-Asha

I have a CD stuck in my MacBook Pro. How can I get it out?
Had the problem too.
What I did is:
- Press the eject button.
- Using terminal.
- Followed jacksonbrookssharpe's idea.
- Then, a "Force eject" screen appeared. I clicked the "Force eject" button... then tilted the mac sideways.
The disc was then ejected.

Mar 21, 2013 6:30 PM in response to OGELTHORPEby Grampa Doodie,I work on Apple's products all day long for my profession. For the very time since I received my 15" MacBook Pro about a year ago, a disc got stuck in my laptop today and would not eject.
After trying all of the "soft" tricks mentioned in this post, I opted to remove the ten screws from the bottom case to see what was up. With the bottom case removed, I started the MBPro up and allowed it to fully boot. Once booted, I hit the "Eject" key, and the disc came out with ease.
This leads me to believe that there may have been just a bit of pressure on the SuperDrive with the bottom case attached. Very strange...and I've never run into this in the many years of working on laptops. I suppose it's possible that this particular disc was defective in some manner.
Once assembled, I inserted and ejected several new CDs and had not further problems with discs getting stuck inside my MBPro. However, I did not try the culprit disc a second time. It was promptly recycled.
Gramps.

Mar 22, 2013 10:45 AM in response to Grampa Doodieby Grampa Doodie,P.S.- Need I say that if you're not comfortable with opening up a laptop, you should then have someone with training do this for you. Preferrably someone certified with repairs like this. That is if your stuck disc escalates to this level of troubleshooting.
You can quickly turn a $2500.00 laptop into a paper weight if you don't know what you're doing, not to mention void any warranty.

Apr 6, 2013 6:33 AM in response to Grampa Doodieby ballerina257,What worked for me was to take a blank CD and angle it in such a way that the edge was underneath the stuck CD. The stuck CD just popped out. Nothing was wrong with my drive as I put other CDs and DVDs in with no issues. The problem was with that particular CD. Hope it helps someone.

Jun 29, 2013 8:45 AM in response to GRam1sby tubapig,The slot was a little narrowed towards the middle due to the case warping a bit.
I inserted a screw driver into the slot just a millimeter, and twisted it to open the slot wider just a bit.
Kept it in place while ejecting the DVD.
That worked.

Thanks!

Sep 9, 2013 11:59 AM in response to help kristinby ALalami1990,Theres a simple Utility I created to remove discs that are stuck inside a SuperDrive. Try taking a look:
https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/49129/forceject-too
It sits in the menu bar. If you're still having issues, then it could be a hardware fault. Anyway, I hope this works.
