Dec 13, 2013 8:26 AM in response to Imaan Hishamby 1_JazzyMomma,I looked this up after the genius at my local Apple Store could not help, and this worked for me--hitting the eject button and tilting it to the side.

My CD was stuck and the computer attempted ejecting unsuccessfuly. I tried your method and it worked. Thanks a bunch. Definitely lowered my stress level and fear of cost for repairs for this issue!!!

Feb 2, 2014 9:22 PM in response to dougs88eaglesby jacksonbrookssharpe,Doug I always love getting random emails telling me my tip helped someone get a CD unstuck. I know it's a small thing, but its annoying as **** when a CD won't pop out. I'm glad my "unorthodox" method did the trick and made your life a little easier.

Feb 23, 2014 11:03 PM in response to help kristinby nowayvaley,Homies, i have tried EVERY which way to get my CD out.
Shacking the **** out of it. Pressing on it. Tilting it. Using a **** hook to pull it out. NOTHING.
Until, this.
Launchpad > Ultilities...and select, Disk Utilities. Your disk should appear to the left. Select it. And on the top. Click eject. Done deal. I'm feeling good, right about now.

Apr 27, 2014 10:10 AM in response to help kristinby LisainDavis,Another solution for you all. I had a disc get stuck last night and tried all these great tips. I found that the terminal command helped move it close to the opening, but I still couldn't grab it. I couldn't vacuum, since everyone else here was asleep, but I devised a safe method to extract the disc!
I used a one inch length of Scotch double-stick tape on one side of the flat handle end of a thin nail file. I slid this in face down over the top of the disc's edge, carefully angling it up over the top of the disc. I then pressed the tape down gently onto the disc, using lever action and slowly pulled, dragging out the disc with no scratches! I had copied the contents and have now marked this disc (an application disc) with the warning that it had gotten stuck. Not sure if it's hardware or the disc that's the problem. I don't use the drive much, but the case is slightly bowed over the battery compartment, so it may have affected the drive also. Glad to know what to do if it happens again.
Hurray for office supplies! Saved me a trip to the Apple Store. So grateful for all the help here. Thanks to you all. Hope this trick helps someone too. - Lisa
