here is the thing that i just did, and i did it just because i dont have warranty on my ipod or the time to go to a store.
with a flat screwdriver i lifted the screen and realized that the connection from the screen was loose and making the screen work erratically. just press the connection back in place and it should be working fine.

BUT... THE THING IS THAT NOW THE SEAL ON THE EDGE OF THE SCREEN FELL OFF, SO DONT TRY THIS UNLESS ITS YOUR LAST OPTION. LIKE SOLDIERS THAT ARE DEPLOYED, AND HAVE FEWER OPTIONS.
