How to locate your ipod touch? Using the finder.

Okay my ipod touch was stolen today at school. And I saw the track your ipod thingy and that setting is on, but I never knew how to use the locator when you lose your ipod/stolen because I want to track this theft and I want to prosacute him or her! And if you solve this im calling the police on the person who stole it. It had my company's information but it does have maxed out security. I have a 15 digit password, and my browsers are blocked as well as photos.

So can you please respond!

I want my ipod back before they get into it, if they do!

Find my iPod touch can be used at http://icloud.com and then clicking Find my iPhone. Good luck.

what if its not verified. And is there a way to get into the ipod when there is a paasword lock/is there a way to break the code by syncing it to a computer?

If it can't be located in iCloud, there is no way to track it. Chances are you won't see it again. The good news is, your data is safe. They would need to plug it in to a computer in iTunes and place it in Recovery Mode. Doing so would bypass the passcode, but it would also wipe your data and restore the phone to factory settings.

Does what work? Find my iPod works with any iPod that can run iOS 5 (that would be a 3rd or 4th generation).

what if you have signed into ICloud or Find My IPod and it says all devices are offline...does that mean that my IPod is out of battery or turned off and in that case cannot be located?

Off-line means:

The battery is dead

The iPod is not connected to the internet

The iPod has been restoren and will always show off-line
