Q: File sharing issues 10.7.4
After working great for 3+ years, something was changed somewhere on my MacBookPro and now I can not share files with my wifes MacBook Pro.
I have tried this dozens of times today http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1549?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
I have a public folder, I have made sure the "Shared Folder" is checked, I have granted "Read & Write" access to everyone, and the folder in finder is marked "Shared" at the top as it should be.
Every file I put in the shared folder is marked "No Access"
I have dragged and exported 384 JPGs from iPhoto to my "Public" folder and no matter what I have tried, my wife still can not access them, so I must be missing something somewhere, but again, this has worked for 3+ years and to my knowlege, I have changed nothing.
She can see the files, she can see she has access to the folder, but she keeps getting "you do not have permission to read or access the files"
I can of course manually change the access to each file, but I don't think I should have to do this 383 more times.
Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated, I have spent many hours on this today and my head is hurting from repeated slams against my desk.
Thanks in advance.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4), 2.53 GHz
