WIERD GAPS APPEAR WHEN COMPOUNDING CLIPS??

So when I create compound clips, these one frame gaps start appearing in random places between clips?

Literally, when I click create compound clip, you can see the whole section get just a bit longer. When I break apart clip items, i find these little gaps appearing between my clips. Its really screwing up my syncing to audio. Anyone have this issue? Any solutions?
