Hey i bought my card from a gas station and i think the clerk didn't activated it, any help?

Hey guys, as said in the topic im not sure what the guy did but i think he didn't activate the card and now when i try to redeem it say ' card is not recognised'

-I know this is a new card card because i just scratched the code cover off please help. Your help will be greatly appreciated
