Movies stutter on my pc if I have my iPhone set to sync via Wi-Fi.

If I choose the option to have my iPhone sync via Wi-Fi, any time I watch a movie on my pc through iTunes it will stutter at random times as it "checks in" with my phone. My pc has more than enough computing power to handle the load of both at the same time (it was built for gaming). How can I stop the stuttering? Is it possible to increase the read-ahead "buffer" for movies that are playing?

I have made sure I have the latest versions of software for iTunes and my iPhone, as well as making sure all of my drivers are up-to-date. I have an 8-core 3.2GHz processor, an AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series 1GB graphic card and a Creative SB X-Fi sound card. I play very graphic-intensive games, so I know my pc can handle the load.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
