Buying from America

Hey guys

Thanks in advance for your advice and help.

Im looking at buying a MacBook pro. I'm out in the states in August and can save £200/$300 by buying it in America. I was wondering if anyone has done this? Only problem that I can see would be the plug for charging which is easily changed. Any other issues to worry about.

Thanks

Dave

Sometimes, not all the time though (it happend to me).

I bought my late MB 08 from the US site but was shipped from a Canadian Warehouse to save on the taxes( customs) and shipping rates.

If you're buying your MB from the US and live in the UK, you might get redirected to the UK site or will be able to buy it from the US but will be shipped from the UK warehouse if they have it in stock.

That's what happened to my IPhone 4. Bought it in the US and was shipped from Canada too.
