Where do I select 3 security questions and answers?

I had the problem too. The solution is to find a free i-phone or i-pad app (stay with me here) and act like you are going to download it. Don't be concerned that you might be working on a PC. The act of selecting download, will force the app store to bring up the loging box. type in your password and the "Three Question Screen" will popup allowing you to complete the three questions. After you are done, go back to i-tunes and you can now redeem or purchase to your hearts content.

Apple - take note of this! There's something broken in your system, and it almost cost you money from me. I'll bet that plenty of people are trying to make a Father's Day purchase this morning and getting stymied by this.

If only my parents didn't still use iTunes to buy music, I could have bought an Amazon gift card in about half the time, and they could be using much better software to purchase the music in the cloud player -_-

I don't own an ipod or ipad. What can I do on my PC to eliminate this problem.

okay this took me 2 days of sorting out, and 2 semi-helpful emails from apple support, essentially guiding me to the source, but not the solution to this problem, which was that apple id security questions have to be set on the computer not the mobile device.

here's what i found:

1. just downloading an app from the itunes store didnt magically make the 3 security questions box appear on my computer. now i have 4 ipad apps i don't need on my mbp.

2. going to the itunes store as instructed by apple a very long winded route to managing your apple id which is actually in appleid.appleid.com, unless you like entering in your itunes password 3 times to get there

3. i solved my problem by choosing 3 security questions and inputting answers one after the other from the drop down box, hoping for the best as no list of 3 appeared....

4. then when i went to the ipad the 3 security questions (which don't match the ones i selected in Step 3) all allowed me to select them and i am able to continue no problem.

5. returning back to apple id now has 2 of the 3 security questions i set from the ipad in Step 4, so there is some, tenuous, connection there !!

first time device setup blues ! hopefully these steps will work from you, but there seems to be more than one way to resolve this issue

Urgh when did having an Apple product become so annoying?!

I've tried to put in my new "security details" so many times now, and at first there was a drop down box of questions to choose from, but now the page is loading up incomplete - just boxes to type answers in, and now it's coming up as a black screen with "submit" buttons! Help me pleaseeeeee! I'm THIS close to throwing my iPad against the wall!

P/s: I tried the tip too, but never got a prompt to put in the security details on my PC. I'm losing my mind.
