Hi...
Go to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the Adobe PDF Browser plugin to the Trash.
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If you have trouble finding the files..
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Click Go

Thank you. It worked for me.
Sorry, but this won't work for me.
I am using Safair on Windows. There is a Plugins folder in the Safari app folder, but inside it there is nothing that looks like a PDF plugin.
Is there anyone that knows now to fix this in Safari on Windows?
Hi..
You need to post for Safari for Windows.
Then select Windows under Categories.
Glad that helped Lori 🙂
Thanks so much, I thought I had included the OS but it looks like I forgot.
And thanks for the replies.
Welcome 🙂
This worked for my on Safari 5.1.7. I was going nuts clicking on PDF docs only to have a solid black screen appear. Thanks again! What a relief.
Thanks for the advice you posted Carolyn. It sorted out a problem that I've been grappling with all morning.
By the way folks, when I followed Carolyn's advice and went to delete the Adobe plug in, I found that there were two versions of it in my Internet Plugins folder. Presumably one was left over from a previous install, but they didn't appear adjacent to each other in the folder list so if I had been in hurry I might have missed the second one. Anyway, deleting them both did the trick.
Thanks again.
It worked but I had to throw these files:
Thank you,
Carolyn,
Your advice/solution was first-rate. Bravo!
Indeed I never would have divined the solution were it not for you.

My problem:
I need to open some PDF documents online in browser. This documents has hyperlink, so if I push this hyperlink it open anouther PDF dock.
In windows in any browser PDF opened by Adobe Acrobat Reader, so all hyperlink are availibe.
But in Mac if I whant to open PDF directly in browser It opened by Prewiev program. But not by Adobe Acrobat Reader. In Previev program this hyperlink are not availible.
