When I download a new app, it has no problem. With an app that was deleted and then downloaded again, it says installing. But when it's done, nothing it there.

Does the new App appear in Applications or Downloads folder?
Some Apps need to be installed, some just need dragging to Applications folder and/or Dock.
The app is not there. I searched through my Mac via Finder and Spotlight and I found nothing. Once it's installed, I refresh the Mac App Store and the button goes back to "install"
Well, for my money Spotlight is as about useless for "really" finding anything s could be, I've disabled it on any important Macs.

This may not be helpful but the only app I ever purchased (the upgrade to iPhoto 11) did not, for some reason, feature in my list of purchases for quite some time.
I knew I had bought it and 'about iPhoto' came back with the right version code.
Then I came across it (can't remember how) in a listing marked 'Hidden apps' or something like that, and managed to instate it into my purchase list.
Perhaps someone out there has had a similar experience and can clarify. It may be that this is what has happened to you.
Why does a free app "fly" to my dock when I download and install it, but when I re-download a paid app, it doesn't "fly" to my dock.
