I cant connect my itouch to my computer!! i used the usb cable, nothing.... used my sis's itouch still nothing. My sis sync my itouch to her laptop, it worked! so it must be my laptop right?? help me!!!!
My laptop is acer, 64.bit version windows 7
My itouch is the 1st gen I think.......

it recognises my itouch as a camera but it wont show up in itunes. and to answer your question, yes ive tried it and there's a slight problem towards the end, this came up

You may need to need to uninstall this driver as well as all Apple related software including Quicktime, Safari, etc. and then re-install it from scratch using the instructions in this Apple support document.

the problem is still there, it recognises my ipod as a camera. and when i re-install it, something came up saying how the registry for burning cds are missing and told me to reinstall it again..... so what should i do?
Do you have any other devices you connect via USB?

nope only my mouse.. and the registry errors yeah it worked thanks. but the main problem is the itouch does not appear in itunes.....
Are you running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows?

So i tried the method to the link. and then this comes out:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
Do you have any Anti-Virus software running running on your system? If so, try temporarily disabling it. Do you have any other USB sync cables you can try out to rule out a faulty cable?
Do you have any other USB devices connected to your PC such as a printer, thumb drive, etc.?
