I have an unlocked iPhone 4S from UK, which i have been able to use in verious countries on GSM network, so now i'm shifting to States and i want to use my iPhone 4S on Sprint or Verizon.
1) Can i use CDMA network?
2) will i still be able to use GSM?
3) will my iphone still remain unlocked or will it be locked?

1. No. In the UK all carriers are GSM. You need to have an unlocked Verizon phone (a true World phone) to use it on their network. You will not be able to use it on Sprint either.
2. Yes, you can use it one ANY GSM network worldwide. If I'm not mistaken, Verizon (and maybe AllTell) are the only CDMA networks left in the world.)
3. Yes, it will remain unlocked.
The only phone that you can use on Verizon's network is one purchased from Verizon. The same is true of Sprint. There is no such thing as an "unlocked CDMA phone".

CDMA is used in approximately 40 countries worldwide, including China, South Korea, Japan, Canada, Mexico.
I believe though you can use any GSM US sim. AT&T, T-Mobile (with 3G limitations) as well as the likes of Cricket and smaller regional carriers. If anyone knows the cheapest/best deals would be appreciated.
AT&T does not permit the use of pre-paid SIM cards in the iPhone. Only post paid.
