Issues with EPUB Production

I have build a Pages document with the intention of exporting to an EPUB format. I have prepared up to 40 RG PNG photos, many of which appear in a one section with captions. These images are imported inline into the document.

When I go to export the Pages file to EPUB, most of these images in the Photos Section do not appear in the EPUB document. Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong? I haver made many ePubs and never encountered this issue, however, this si the first document with nearly 40 photos occuring one after the other.

When reading the information in ePub documents from Apple http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4168 this is passage to be noted

Note that some content is not supported by the ePub file format standard and will be removed from your document when exporting to ePub:

  • Smart-fields.
  • Master/Background objects.
  • Headers and footers.
  • Floating graphics.
  • Footnotes (converted to endnotes).
  • Columns.
  • Comments.
  • Some image effects such as shadows.
  • Images beyond the 11MB of un-encoded image data allocation per chapter.
