Today my ipad 2 would not turn on. it just shows a black screen. It is fully charged and has a password so when i connect it to a PC it is recognised but unable to sync due to the password lock.
Anyone with any ideas on way to either
1. make the ipad work?
2. get round the password lock so i can retreive my photos?

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
I have been trying to update my software for it to not be able to finish it. comes up with some error.. so now i turned it off and then turned it on to find the iTunes icon on the back screen and usb cable showing.. i plug it in for it to not turn on or reset using the sleep n home button.. so resetting it twice it gets so far and says there is an error...
ever since trying to update the software it has been a nightmare and have not been able to backup my files so everything is gone!! reall annoyed with it now! 😠
i have the same proplem too my ipad 2 is stuck in black screen and an apple icon in the center what should i do ?? any ideas to help??
