How to transfer data from iP4 to iP4s

I bought a new Ip4s and naively wanted to tranfer the data from my previous iP4.

Stupid me, I have updated on my previous iP4 the latest software 5.1.1, while the nwly bought iP4s didn't have it.

When i connected the iP4s to iTunes for the first time, the bloody thing didn;t allow me to restore from the previous phone, because I needed first to download the latest iPhone software and, to do this, I needed to create a new environment.

After doing this, no way to be able to restore from my previous iP4.

So disappointing ... as if I have hours and days to manualy load my 400 contacts and thousand of pics, arrange my apps etc.
