I am attempting to upload files to another server via FTP. I connect to the server ok and can see other files but can't drag or move files to the server. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How have you connected to the FTP server? Connections made through Finder (using cmd-K), or through a browser using the ftp:// prefix (which are passed to Finder) are read-only. You will need to use a dedicated FTP client (such as Cyberduck) to be able to upload files.

Thank you very much Matt. I had no idea using Finder for FTP was read only. This solves my problem. I will check out Cyberduck and thank you again for your help.
