Will I still be able to publish photos on iweb after icloud takes over on the 30th June 2012 or will i have to move to a new hosting company?

iWeb is an application and offers two other ways to publish...

There are also alternatives to the MobileMe only features...

You can get good hosting for about half the cost of MobileMe...

You will need to aquire another web hosting service to publish websites to. Or, if you use the MobileMe galleries, find another photo sharing site to use. Roger Wilmut's website, Migrating from MobileMe, discusses potential candidates for both types of file sharing, websites and photo sharing.

Firstly, iWeb is an application and you don't publish anything there. It is MobileMe that you have published to in the past and NO, after 30th June you will no longer be able to publish there and iCloud does not host websites.

You will need to find a new host so suggest you take a look at GoDaddy and HostExcellence for starters.

Also search this forum - the same question is asked and answered on an almost daily basis.

Gold fish looks and acts just like iWeb

Sandvox is nice, but it's Template based, so if you like Google's Homepage format... then this is good for you.

Pros use Dreamweaver.

As far as iWeb and site hosting....

Apple is no longer Hosting your websites.

Your website is CLOSED. They are not hosting websites anymore. They host your iClud data.

You still have your files on your machine, and can publish to a NEW server, if you like. You must first open an account with a domain provider and host, then publish to the new website with your info.

I use these guys, because it allows me to register in whatever country I like, and they are not blocked by China:

You may also try Go-Daddy, or OnLineInstitute

You may want to check with our cable company, or your internet provider. You can get some good deals if you are already a customer.

Here is the How to, for changing your publish information over to the new service. (first you need a provider).
