Look at the Elgato products. Using a TV antenna you can watch full HD over the air. I also believe Elgato has their own service to supply HDTV (like cable). But you won't be able to view HD on your TV from your local cable company. That's due to HDCP copy protection. Note that cable boxes with component or composite (3 or 5 RCA connections) could be connected to the computer since that is non-HD analog.
