my ipad 1 keeps coming back with error code 9 during restore.

the battery is also depleted and for some reason it wont charge until it is restored. I have tried different computers, disabled all other applications, firewalls etc. disconnected all other usb devices.

cant think off anything else, anybody have had same experiences ?

Also the reason for restore is weird, one day everything worked fine, battery just ran out.

after trying to charge it it came back that it needed to restore.

The usb connection works as Itunes recognizes the ipad and states a restore is needed, the restore procedure starts and stops halfway with error 9

can anybody help ?
