How do I PROPERLY move my library in iTunes 10?

Okay... I have searched, found a few articles. One "seemed" to answer my questions. But then I came to the screen I have attached below and I'm stuck second guessing everything. I want to MOVE my iTunes folder... it's taking too much space up on my harddrive. Now I have gone through the settings and I have pointed iTunes to the new folder I want it to use (an external drive). Following the instructions I went to File>Library>Organize Library and came across this screen...

User uploaded file

The instructions I am following say I should choose "Consolidate Files" and then iTunes will begin to copy all my files to the new folder KEEPING play counts, playlists, etc. BUT... the second option looks like what I really want to do; which looks like it will reorganize everything in the new location. So which is it?

It's neither. I think you're following the wrong directions.

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in
