My air randomly will not run any applications. The mouse or pad work but clicking on any application does nothing. A hard power down and reboot seems to fix it until the next time.

My airbook occasionally enters a funny state in that the machine looks as if its OK but it wont run any applications. If yoou click on any app it does nothing. You cannot power it down other than to use the power button. A reboot seems to fix the problem but not always. Sometimes you have to reboot a number of times to resolve the problem. This seems to have only started since the the last SW upgrade though that could be coincidental.
