Jun 4, 2012 12:47 PM in response to TJH58by iCare,You didn't provide much information about how you migrated your files, the model of iMac you have, or the version of Mac OS X that you are running. If you used the Windows Migration Assistant then the following article may be helpful, especially the comment that reads "Note: This process will create a new user account on your Mac to contain the Windows PC information that is migrated over. It will not merge the information with an existing user account on the Mac."

If you open a new finder window, then locate and click on your iMac in the left hand column under 'Devices' you should see the hard drive and any other attached volumes appear in the next column to the right. Click on your hard drive (probably called Macintosh HD) and you'll see a list of files/folders on your hard drive. Click on the 'Users' folder and you should see a user folder created for your Windows Migration Assistant data. You may need to set the permissions for the folder using an administrator account.
