Jun 4, 2012 2:48 PM in response to cmc214by MartinR,Have you tried shutting down your Mac and restarting it? If not, please do. Force quitting an app can leave 'loose ends' that can be cleaned up by a shutdown & restart.

Jun 5, 2012 12:02 AM in response to cmc214by Bengt Wärleby,Hi
And You can also try
• Keep alt-key down during up-start of FCE (iMovie, iDVD and iPhoto is forced to start from a new project or give possibility to select another library - if old project/library got corrupted)
• Start a new User-Account - log into this - to force FCE to create a new set of Pref- files (if corruption was in any of these)
Just to find out where to look for the problem
Yours Bengt W

It should be the first thing you try when any problems occur.
