iPhone thinks a cell number is a landline.

My iPhone 4 thinks a cell number is a landline. When I try to text that number, it says that it is a landline, and offers the "text to landline" website and rates. When I call that number, it gives an automated voice message saying that the number is invalid. I have tried deleting the contact and re-entering it, and that has not worked. Any suggestions? Thanks!
