Final Cut Pro X, how do I create a full size screen grab?

I suppose this doesn't have to be in the FCPX forum but since I have the program, I can use it in case it offers the solution.

I'm trying to pull full-size, 1080 stills from some video. My monitor doesn't go that high in vertical resolution, so I can't just pause the video and take a screen grab -- the image will be scaled down to more like ~800px.

Is there a solution, either in FCPX, Quicktime (not Pro), or some other means?

Thanks!

Yep, the standard Quicktime Player and Preview will do the job.

Play the movie in Quicktime player to the desired frame, pause, choose Edit>Copy.

In Preview.app, choose File>New from clipboard.

You get a lovely 1920*1080 .png file.

I also tested this with GraphicConverter which gives me a wider choice of output file formats.
