mip.jpg, micro.jpg and thumb.jpg files

I have a number of mip.jpg, micro.jpg and thumb.jpg files (like hundreds). Does anyone know what these are? Do I need to keep them or can they be deleted? Thanks for your help

Where are you seeing these?

What does google say about them?

If they ane in the iPhoto library then the rule that you NEVER make any changes of any sort to the structure or content of the iPhoto library applies as it always does

If they are not in the iPhoto library then you must decide what to do with them. The would not be part of iPhoto

I don't know how to tell if they are in iPhoto. I see them in Finder under All My Files. I was using Aperture and transferred everything back to iPhoto and I think that may be when these files were generated. I'm not sure. I did Google them, but that was not very helpful.

You tell where they are by the path. If they are in the iPhoto library (by default [user]/pictures/iPhoto library/ [folder]/[file name] the do not mess with them. If there are not in the iPhoto library then what you do is your choice
