and know what the problem is, all this stuff safe mode, hold this key hold that key and you still have the problem if at apple they know the problem so should the novice a code is a code its meant to be broken
one of those codes says exactly what the problem is. why such a secret???????

Jun 8, 2012 3:03 PM in response to MONETAMANby Kenichi Watanabe,Kernel panics are often caused by hardware issues. Diagnosing a hardware issue is best done by someone with expertise who can look at the actual hardware. No one is trying to keep any "secrets."

i did not notice where the paste went, saw no gunk as such is there a diagram that shows where it goes
i get the gray screen, apple logo, spinning gear, all fans race, then the restart computer logo
once or twice i managed to get to safe boot, but it shut down with the hardware chec disk
running, can i narrow this down to heat related, power supply getting too hot???
what would be the first component to heat up. spoke to a guy on the phone
where i live had same problem, said its not power supply, it was a heat sink
problem, again with that thermal paste, he fixed his???????
