I can't e-mail picture from IPhoto, because the computer says to does not recognize my username and password

I can't e-mail a picture from iphoto because a message comes on the screen and says it does not recognize my user name and pass word. How do you correct this?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5)

Hello, are you doing this from iPhoto or what?

What happen if you just drag a picture to anew Mail?

Take a look at iPhoto Preferences>Accounts & make sure that information is correct. I also use the method that BDAqua suggested quite often.
