Jun 5, 2012 5:40 PM in response to seamsfantasticby dbmoore,Hold the option key and click on the Aperture icon in the dock. You should get a dialog asking which library to open. Do you see more than one? Is perhaps one of them the one you are looking for. cheers

Jun 5, 2012 5:54 PM in response to seamsfantasticby seamsfantastic,Could the 3.2.4 upgrade have overwritten the aplibrary or can I still retrieve it somehow?

Jun 5, 2012 6:48 PM in response to seamsfantasticby Frank Caggiano,As a rule if all is done correctly and all goes well updating Aperture will not overwrite your existing library.
How did you discover that the library had disappeared?
The Aperture library has a .aplibrary extension so if you do a spotlight search for all files that have a .aplibrary extension you might find other libraries.
Another thing to try when Aperture is opened select File->Switch To Library->Other/New. You'll get a list of libraries Aperture knows about.

Jun 6, 2012 3:09 AM in response to Frank Caggianoby seamsfantastic,When I first opened Aperture after upgrading, no thumbnails or photos loaded and all the projects were gone as well. Still trying to figure out if the original aplibrary was misplaced/path missing or was it over written because the aplibrary was completely empty! If there is a chance it was just missplaced, how would I find it as it will not show up in spotlight?

Jun 6, 2012 3:28 AM in response to seamsfantasticby léonie,Have you checked the size of your apparently empty Aperture Library, if it really is empty? Sometimes a filter prevents the contents from showing. Are all search fields (in the Inspector, the Browser) cleared?
Sometimes an Aperture Library is written to the top level of your system drive, if you are having disk trouble.
In the Finder menu bar click "Go" > Go to Folder
and enter a Slash-character : "/", hit return
This will open a Finder Window at the top level of your system volume. Browse from there, if you can find a trace of your aperture library, but be careful not to change or delete anything.
Regards
Léonie
P.S. do you have a backup of your aperture Library?
