I am pulling my hair out trying to animate exposure in the color board.....is it even possible? I want to have a shape mask animate on a vignette. Does anyone know how to do this....I can create the shape, position it and then fade exposure to give me a vignette effect but I can't work out how to animate from no vignette up to the vignette, TIA.
Final Cut Pro 7, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
You can't animate the color correction itself, but you can animate the shape mask.

thanks for that. Seems like a major weakness in the software that you can't keyframe an exposure pull which would be very handy all throughout the project I'm doing right now.....are there any third-party plug-ins that would do that?

I never had the need in my very basic projects to keyframe color-correction, but it surprises me you can't - in my humble understanding of 'techniqué' it shouldn't be that difficult? maybe, that couldn't be done in realtime? whatever, make an enhancement request:
