Shut down the app
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon until they wiggle
- Press the red ➖ to delete the Stocks app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart Stocks
I'm having the same issue and closing the App does not help. I've restarted the entire phone a couple times as well. Mine is stuck at 4:51 PM 5/29. It hasn't updated since.
Tried that but the stock app I am referring to comes installed so it doesn't wiggle.
My stock app locked up on 5/29 also. What I did to fix it:
1. Deleted all the stocks I was following.
2. Re-added them.
I'm up and running and the market is doing well.
Seriously? Every time the stock stops updating I have to delete and re-enter my 30 stocks that I am following? disappointed with Apple. Should have fixed this seeing that there are so many complaints online. I'd expect this from Samsung but not Apple.
Agree with Ken6688 with over 100 stocks this is not a task I will take on. Looks like ill be looking for a new app. Too bad I've wasted so much time setting this up. Also wish I could delete this app if Apple is not going to support it.
Got the same problem.
I've tried rebooting with the hold button and home button, no good! Tried deleting the stock and re-inserting, no good and now a blank price or percentage! Tried going to the Y! button in the app but it did not help!
Can anybody help with this issue?
Can it be reinstalled? I hope someone from Apple can help, really good app but when it does not reflect the market it is the worst app on the market.

I agree with everything everyone says and that's at the heart of why apple is at $430/ share not $800. And the deleting of te letter every time use want an M is bad too.
Well, I have had some success. I noticed that when the stock apps gives all sorts of errors in the stock app as mentioned above, if I synchronize with itunes it works again.
Maybe app updates cause it grief as I have a lot????? Leave that for the experts to explain.
I have done it now twice over a few months.
I'm happy I have a solution to get it working again, synchornize with I-Tunes................ Rock and Roll!

I believe you have to go into Settings>General>Background App Refresh. See if the Stocks App is there and activate the Refresh. That allows the app to refresh.
