Control surfaces - one fader per track w/o having to select the track

I am running Logic in a live setting and need to set one fader control for each track volume. I am using Korg's Nano-Kontrol to control Logic's volume. Logic will learn the setting for each fader but only controls the volume when the track is selected. And when one track is selected ANY of the faders will control that volume. Is there any setting or configuration which will control ONLY that track's volume without having to select it. Fader 1-Track 1, Fader 2-Track 2, etc.

Logic Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Axiom 49/Roland Stage Piano

I am running Logic Pro 9 and using a Korg NanoKONTROL2 with the Korg Apple drivers. Each slider controls each track individually, regardless of whether the track has been selected. So, for example, I can move fader 3 up and down and change levels while fader 1 is still selected on the screen. Same thing with the pan knobs. If I press one of the buttons (record/solo/mute) it will select that track.

Now the nanoKONTOL2 is very different from the original nanoKONTROL however. But there is a preference setting in Logic under Control Surfaces that affects this behavior - "touching fader selects track". Have you tried checking that box? Also, are you using the newest Korg driver for Logic?

FWIW, I think the nanoKONTROL2 only costs ~$60 if you want to get one. Of course, since the faders aren't motorized, they don't automatically go to the saved levels when you open a different project.

That's EXACTLY how I want the nanoKONTROL to respond!

I downloaded and installed version 1.1.1 USB drivers for Mac from the Korg site. I also updated the Editor to version 1.2.0 I noted the 'touching fader selects track' box and had already checked it.

I wish I could say this solved the problem but it hasn't. I'm afraid with my luck I would buy the KONTROL2 and it wouldn't work either. Thanks for the suggestions.😟
