Palm Pilot or PDA with iMac ?

Hi
I am thinking of purchasing a Palm Pilot or PDA. I wanted to know if one is more compatible than the other and if there are any known compatiblity issues?
Thanks

Chris,

Any PDA running Palm OS should be completely compatible with your Mac. I have a somewhat "long-in-the-tooth" Handspring Visor Prism that I have used with several Macs, all flawlessly. I especially like the (Mac version) Palm Desktop software, and I have only recently begun using Address Book and iCal to store all of my contact and calendar info.

It might be a smart idea to look for a Bluetooth capable PDA. USB works just fine, but it would certainly be more convenient to use Bluetooth to "sync" your PDA with your computer. As my PDA doesn't have Bluetooth, I can't speak to the compatibility of the Palm Desktop software (and hotsync drivers) with Apple's Bluetooth, but I have always found Palm OS to be ahead of the curve, Mac-wise.

Chris,

Well, you can't go wrong with a Palm unit. If you want all of the standard features, plus bluetooth, but you don't want to spend a fortune, this one might be for you.

If you want just about every feature under the sun, including Bluetooth and WiFi, and you are not fretting about price, this one might catch your eye.

Really, it is all up to you (and your budget). Make sure you click on the links for "Tech Specs" on those pages so you get all the information.
