Unlock my iphone for tmobile in-store?
Could I walk into an apple store and ask them to unlock my at&t iPhone I just bought from a friend so that it will work with tmobile? Or will I have to figure out how to hack it?

Apple cannot and does not unlock iPhones themselves; only the carrier to whom the phone is locked can do that. You will need to call AT&T and ask if your iPhone is eligible for unlocking.
