All of my collada files appear with a white bg. I have tried building a Skybox of a different colour but the camera's orbit behaves oddly. Basically a flat colour of my choosing would be great.
Any help appreciated.

Is this a collada question or an iBook Author question?
I can set a BG to be any colour in my 3d app (max, maya or Blender) and export but it is always white in iBook. I don;t think collada exports bg colour so from that standpoint I assume it's an iBook question. If there was a colour selector for bg it would be great.

Widgets have a background color attribute that is set using the graphics inspector - did you that?
Now I feel like an idiot 🙂. I was changing the BG colour of the frame but did not set the colour of the screen behind the 3D. I'm really sorry to have posted on such a simple oversight. Thanks for the resonses and the help.
