You can only connect an iPhone to your computer for tethering; that is the only supported profile for another device other than headsets and hands-free devices. You can connect through WiFi if the phone and computer are on the same network.
it wont do that either on windows 7 32 bit
Well, it will for other people, so there's something wrong with your Windows 7. If you don't have the latest version of iTunes installed then you need to install it. The drivers are bundled with it. You also need to be logged into an account with administrator privileges.
If you do have iTunes installed remove and reinstall it as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
Finally, your security settings may be blocking a bluetooth connection. You might need to change your antivirus and firewall settings.
I posted this in another discussion
I believe this works.
1) Go to Bluetooth Software Download @broadcom and download updated Bluetooth for Windows software on your Bluetooth-enabled Windows PC or laptop.
2) Pair your iPhone to your Bluetooth-enabled Windows PC or laptop.
Now, you can possibly receive music and audio at your windows PC or laptop from your iphone and receive SMS message too.
